Collecting and Using Your Personal Information
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide certain Personal Data that can be used to create and manage Your Account and provide the Service. The Personal Data We may collect includes:
- First name and last name
- Email address
- Account authentication information, including information associated with Your password or authentication method
When You choose to sign in using Google, We may receive information made available to Us by Google for authentication and account creation, such as Your name and email address, subject to the permissions and settings applicable to Your Google Account.
We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers or other complete payment credentials through Our own systems. Payment information is processed by Our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
Usage Data
Technical and Usage Information. We may receive limited technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service. Depending on how the Service and its infrastructure operate, this may include information such as IP address, browser type, access times, authentication or session information, and other technical information generated when You use the Service.
We do not intentionally request or use technical or usage information for behavioral advertising or for purposes unrelated to operating, securing, maintaining, and improving the Service.
Where such information is processed by a third-party hosting, authentication, infrastructure, analytics, or security provider, that processing may be subject to the provider's applicable privacy practices and agreements with the Company.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Vaelith uses a minimal, privacy-respecting approach to cookies. We use only one essential first-party cookie, and we do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or behavioral analytics cookies.
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
session_token | Essential (first-party) | Keeps You securely signed in to Your Account and authenticates Your requests. The value is an opaque, randomly generated token and does not itself contain Personal Data. Set with the HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=None attributes. | A browser-session cookie by default; up to 30 days if You select "Remember me" at sign-in; approximately 7 days for Google Sign-In sessions. |
We do not set analytics cookies and do not embed advertising or third-party tracking cookies on the Service. The Service may use limited browser localStorage for basic interface preferences (for example, remembering that You have seen a particular notice); this is not used for tracking.
When You use Google Sign-In or complete a payment through Stripe Checkout, those interactions occur on Google's and Stripe's own domains, and those providers may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies. Vaelith does not control those cookies.
Because our only cookie is strictly necessary to sign You in and operate the Service, it is used on the basis of providing a service You request. You can control or delete cookies through Your browser settings, but disabling the essential cookie will prevent You from signing in.

AI-generated outputs are generated based on the information and data available to the Service at the time of processing and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should not submit highly sensitive personal information to AI features unless it is necessary to use the applicable feature.
The Company does not intentionally use Personal Data submitted through the Service to train publicly available artificial intelligence models, except where separately disclosed and permitted by applicable law.

The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain Your Account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce Our agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the security of the Service.
When Personal Data is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes, We may delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to applicable law and legitimate business or legal requirements.

This means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, We will ensure that international transfers of Your Personal Data are subject to appropriate safeguards and, where relevant, supplementary measures.

We may retain certain information where required or permitted by applicable law, including information necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, or complete legitimate business purposes.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).
Other Legal Requirements
The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public; or protect against legal liability.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The Service is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. The Company does not knowingly provide the Service to or knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under 18 years of age. We strongly advise You to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services You visit.
California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional privacy rights under applicable California law, including rights to know, access, delete, correct, and receive information regarding the collection and use of Personal Information, subject to applicable exceptions and limitations.
